Nearly Untouched Woman's Prison

This prison was quite the spot, it easily made it into my top 5's! The facility is secluded and nearly untouched, partially since it's not very known and many of those who know it don't care for the long drive into the countryside. I think I only saw 1 or two taggings if even that. The only real vandalism was the occasional smashed glass or pummeled lock in an attempt to enter some of the sealed buildings. The architecture was amazing, a mixture of old stile limestone buildings and modern cell blocks. To top it all off... the place also partially had power. I started my adventure with the prison gate in what felt like a scene from the Walking Dead...

This room was used by the fire department for fire escape simulations, it was complete with vents hooked up to a fog machine.
7.

Next, I reached a cottage that was used by the fire department for training, meaning it, unfortunately, had fire damage, luckily that was isolated to this cottage alone. These cottages littered the property and would have housed inmates. I'm guessing the better behaved or lower security inmates would stay in these as they were quite luxurious as far as cells go. All the cottages not burned were sealed, but you get the basic layout idea from this one.

9. Oops...uploaded the same picture twice, my mistake.

Next was the sewage treatment plant, there were some good views of an overgrown field from it.
21.

22.

23.

After leaving here we entered the more prisony section of the complex. The cafeteria, warehouse, and some workshops were sealed but I managed to get into a sweatshop.

I was surprised to find these remnants, and yes, they worked.
29.

30.

And now for what you've probably been waiting for...the cell blocks!

Inbetween these two cell blocks was the prison's hospital which still had some cool equipment left behind.

46.

47.

Following the hospital, we made our way to the roof of the building for a pretty nice view and a much-needed relaxation period.
48.

49.

50.

51.

Upon leaving this building we managed to get inside a single floor cell block. There were many of these on the east side of the property but they are all basically the same. It appeared as if these cell blocks would hold the maximum security inmates. The control room didn't even look out to the cells but to the showers.
52.

53.

54.

Next was probably the most famous building in the complex, if you see a picture of this prison it's usually from in here. This block could hold the most amount of inmates and appeared most like the Walking Dead
55.

56.

Unfortunately...it was just recently sealed before our visit...moving on we entered the chapel of the facility. All the pews were broken but it was still cool.
57.

58.

59.

60.

61.

62.

The final building we explored here was the visitation building. It had a gym, visit booths, a safe(which we opened), and an armoury.
63.

64.

65.

66.

67.

68.

69.

Okay...I lied...we visited one more building but it was outside of the actual prison the wardens house.
70.

71.

I'll conclude with some exterior shots, thanks for following me on this adventure, I hope you found the images and/or write up entertaining and thanks for viewing!
72.

Till next time!

Wow, this place looks very cool. I've always wanted to see the inside of an abandoned prison. I almost saw one but unfortunately it had been locked down tight by the time I was able to make a trip out to it. Great set!

The cell block locks use a key that looks like this. So you know when you see them.

up until today I didn't know that being "nearly untouched" was something you could be imprisoned for.

Alpine, I did see a roll of keys like that in the 1-story cell block's control room, never bothered to try them for some reason...

Fiftyone_eggs, Haha my bad...thanks!

Emperor Wang, It sure is, the surrounding area of cornfields and forests solidify that.

It really does look just awesome! I need to get down there ASAP.

In other news, I have become so obsessed with UER, I actually dreamed of looking at posts last night. Enter you, Ken Fager. My GF wouldn't speak to me, and I was written up at work for spending all my time at kenfager.com. So..... Ken's website and UER being a dream topic is no surprise, as I enjoy them both. But seriously.... For the actual dream activity to be surfing the internet? It gets better. In the dream, I was looking at this very "Nearly Untouched Woman's Prison" thread. That in itself is also not such a surprise, as it was one of last things I did before going to sleep. Icing meet cake..... Ken's website became the subject of my obsessive dream when I saw his name IN THIS POST. Ken did not post here until today.

Now of course, I am certainly no clairvoyant or otherwise. But you cannot deny not only was that a weird dream, but the whole Ken Fager thing is a weird ass co-inky-dink.

I will be sure that porn is the last thing I view tonight. My dreams need to be reset back to a more normal male obsession, boobs.

Good day sir. I say good day!

Am I the only one who thinks this looks kind of like a forgotten castle? Doesn't look like a prison at all. Beautiful!

microscopes? cool! Did you see any other lab equipment (not hospital equipment, I saw the X-ray machine and therapy tub...just wondering if you saw any other lab stuff since I'm a science groupie)

And now for what you've probably been waiting for...the cell blocks!
