Posted by Freaktography We were hoping to hit more but were surprised to see so many schools totally sealed off with the plexi-glass shit over every door and window.
I wonder if that's bc of scrappers. Since the city of Detroit owns the public schools that may just be a way to protect their assets.
Love this set. Amazing location and that rectory is a well-preserved time capsule.
I'll be in the Big D in about 6 weeks but mainly to shoot the abandoned neighborhoods. Did you check any of those out?

oh ya, in between locations we took some random lefts and rights to check out the neighborhoods for sure. We were very surprised to see how much development there was in Brush Park, very few homes left abandoned and some incredible restoration work!
I can only hear this song in my head when I see a piano like that :3

"When we see a sign that says "Danger: Do Not Enter", we understand that this is simply a shorthand way of saying "Leaving Protected Zone: Demonstrate Personal Accountability Beyond This Point"."
Hey, cool location and some nice pics in the set. As for the location sealing, I think they've started using plexi because VPS has basically been a failure.
Posted by EsseXploreR Ha, I was yelled at by a neighbor for poking around trying to find a way in here. They seem to have sealed it up pretty well.
Nice set dude!
thanks. haha we squeezed our asses through a tight little basement window with a giant pipe directly in our way only to find that around the corner was a wide open door!!!
This is a great set. All paintings and colors are surprisingly well preserved. Truly indeed a time capsule of sorts, though by about a decade tops. What are those bedroom pictures from though? Priest lodging (I presume this is an Easter orthodox church)?
