A Chicago Classic

Just recently I visited one of the most well-known abandonments in Chicago in order to test out my new camera. I had to delete a good portion of the photos I took because I didn't have the camera settings correct, I'm posting what I have left, the exceptional pictures. I'll start off with some exterior shots.

1.

2.

Moving on to the interior, the place is mostly empty now, but it still looks cool. I especially love the wooden floors old factories have.

3.

4.

5.

6.

11.

This was a cool find.

12.

Moving outside once more, the facility had tracks for carts that would transport materials.

13.

14.

15.

16.

For the final leg of our journey, we made our way to the roof. We spent most of our time up here since it didn't smell like mold and old corn syrup.

17.

18.

19.

Of course, I'll conclude with some skyline pictures.

Truly a classic. Gotta check it out soon. Nice photos too, it takes awhile to get a new camera down

love this place, it's so cool that you can see other abandoned places from the rooftop. Damen Silos, the Clock Tower...

I didn't meet any NEal, but I did come across two drugged up taggers. I also saw two explorers leaving as I was on the top floor of the white building.

I loved that as well! Almost every direction you looked you could see something abandoned! I didn't include any of the pictures with the silos, or other abandonments, besides the clocktower and another I won't mention for privacy as it is less known.

Thanks! Yep, the pictures aren't as good as a hoped because of that.

Place gets a lot of traffic. Neal squats (or used to squat) there and was a member here for a short while. If you ever bump into him he's a wealth of exploring info.

I'll keep an eye out next time! Too bad everyone I encountered were not that friendly.

I might need a PM on what that other place is. I think I do know it, but I might be thinking of something else. I oddly enjoy this area of the city
