Here's some of the photos I took on the trip up here that I mentioned earlier. It was by far the most brutal hike I've ever done to get to this spot since there's no trail and lot's of bush whacking to do. I was eaten alive by misquotes and other insects on the ~4 hour hike and I'm still feeling the effects of it 5 days later

Found this cool car on the way down into the valley.

One of the turbines scattered off the impact site.

Found the second turbine located even further from the impact site.

The tip of the left wing starting to corrode and give way to the elements.

The tail section.

More wreckage scattered on top of the impact crater with the tail in the background.

A section of the wing broken off with a portion of the American Star still visible.

Unless I'm blind, I noticed when I got home that a major potion of the wing, located next to the tail section was either gone or completely submerged in fallen trees when I went.

It completely submerged in overgrowth and dirt.

Did you manage to see any of the red tape I left behind over a year ago on top of the ridge line maybe an hour or so off trail? I was attempting to use it as a reference point for myself and figured it might help other people who made it that far (hour + off trail). I figured if an explorer made it at that through the poison oak that they'd deserve to know that others had been along the same path in the past.

I did actually! I had the coordinates for the location but seeing the red tape as I got closer to the spot was a sigh of relief.

I tried accessing this site recently with my friends but couldn’t find anything, I didn’t have the coordinates and only a vague understanding of where to go. Would anyone be willing to pm me with details to point me in the right direction?
