This story comes from a month ago, on a warm April evening in the U of T area of Toronto. I'm afraid a whole bunch of photos weren't able to upload, not sure why. I'll update the UED soon if anyone interested.

The area surrounding the ROM has been on my list for awhile now, and one night I finally made a few places happen. To start off the evening, I did the scaffolding on the building across the street from the ROM. Old, beautiful and finally being refurbished. I shot all the angles before eventually wanting to make it to the roof just beside this one; the Gardiner Museum. When I initially climbed up, it looked as though the scaffolding touched the museum as well, but as it turns out there was a little gap in between the two. Leaving my camera up top, I pulled a Morpheus and leaped down onto the adjacent roof, finding a ladder once I got there to help with the climb back up. Not long after, I tried opening a hatch to go into the museum and immediately an alarm started going off. Faint at first, then I realized that it was because it was far away, on the main floor. In addition, every light in the building had turned on. I felt like a burglar straight out of a movie, cops were on the way! I climbed down fast and ran, laughing all the way.

Next I slipped into the Convocation Hall, but workers were there so I propped open a side door and returned a few hours later...

Meanwhile I hopped into Varsity Stadium and climbed up onto the booth. I must say, I'm really happy with the photos from here, my favorite of the night. I then hopped onto the aluminium roof of the rink, from which I found access to inside the mech room. From here, I marked my exits and glided around carefully, as there were staff still there walking around the facility. I managed to climb up into the catwalks above the rink, shooting at 4000 iso on the creaking frame. A took a hockey puck as a souvenir, then left as I was dripping with sweat.

By now it was around 2am. I returned to Con Hall, slipped in the door I had propped open and began exploring with ease around the empty building. I tried getting onto the roof, I really did, but after tugging on almost a couple dozen doors, they were all deadbolted shut. However, a little nifty climbing did bring me into a stairwell that led down to the basement below. Once I was in here, my excitment could not be contained. Much coolness to be seen, lots of old things to touch. Hilariously, when I was looking through the UED the next day, someone had taken the same photo of the exact same filthy toilet years before me

All in all, good times. I tried going back up the ROM as well, but I drenched my foot in mud after hopping the fence and figured it was the uer god's way of saying, "okay, you've had your fun..."

Hope you enjoy the photos, also if anyone's got contacts in London - England or Paris, PM me as I'd love to link up with an explorer once I get there in a few weeks

Well done brother, you have definitely taken full advantage of Toronto and all of the exploring possibilities!

You made the right choice in going with your gut when it told you you've had your fun and to call it a night. Always go with your gut!

This is so rad. I'd love to do this kind of exploring in Toronto but I have no idea how to get started.

You're at it again. Is #30 supposed to be short for "civil"? If so, I could understand that as a description for civil engineering students. Not that my brother would agree with me

One day I got a good camera.

Those Con Hall 'chair-hallway' images bring back great memories. Before the 2004-ish UofT security audit, which effectively cut-off 80% of steam tunnel connectivity across campus, we used to use that Con Hall area as our main back-up exit strategy.

Amazing work, man!
