The property itself is a park, which you're free to walk around in. The signs say to stay out of the buildings.. just like any other explore, it's about whether or not you get caught. I think most people are just asked to leave if they are.

It's an easy explore for those new to this, if you're in the area I would stop by.

However if you're going to NY to explore there are better places.

Normally I don't mind risking it. I can usually get away with the "I'm a photographer" excuse at home but I'm coming from Canada and I really would rather not risk getting charged or arrested in another country even if all they might do is tell me to leave or give a warning.
Anyways, if you have any recommendations on general areas of New York I should be scouting, feel free to share! I'm sure Ill find lots just walking around though.

All jokes aside (since Letchworth is the joke of the Northeast), the days of getting let off with a warning here are very much over. It's become one of those places that is so well known that the Police have just had enough. If caught, you'll almost 100% be arrested. Most stories I've heard come with community service as well. Out of State/County? Even better! They know you probably won't show up for your court date and you'll be jammed up even worse. Now with all that being said, the place has some fun secrets/surprises as well lol

This is just assuming that you are going into the buildings correct? Like you can still go on to the property and walk around, just not in the buildings.

Walk a dog there and you'll fit right in.
Gives you a great excuse too when it gets away from you and you have to retrieve it.

Just watch out for the crickets.

Yes, you can still walk around. Honestly, most of the buildings will be more photogenic for exteriors anyways. I think you have to stick to Stewart Rd or they give you a hard time though.
