Does anyone know the story behind these parks?

Many of the Korean amusement parks featured were built to bring in tourists into areas without many visitors, but didn't succeed, was that the case in Japan?

Not so much bring tourists to remote areas but to offer isolated locals a nearby amusement park. I know this mostly because it happened in Japan first.

Awesome pics! Awesome awesome awesome! And yeah, Dreamland being gone is too sad. I would have loved to have been able to visit it.

Fantastic collection of pics! There must be a lot of bankrupt former theme park owners in Japan. The forgotten mannequins in Western Village are creepy as heck.
