A friend of mine and I were checking out the old st Francis hospital at 2 am, by the deaf and blind p school in co springs. Unfortunately we could not find a safe way in. But I must of triggered a motion detector by jiggling a doorknob. But anyways right after we started walking out a security vehicle rolled in front of us as soon as we stepped out of the parking lot I think we intimidated him by us staying put and taking off our hoods so he could approach us and tell us to leave, but instead he gave us a real awkward look, drove past us and shined his light on the building like he was looking for spider man. He looked younger than I was so he was probably new to the job

Tbh, you probably didn't trigger anything with the door knob. A motion sensor on a door knob is expensive and most companies won't do that unless they are trying to hide something - not keep people from abandoned buildings. It was probably bad timing, *or* there might be security cameras and the security guy saw you on one. Always keep an eye out for those buggers. The only time I've been caught by police is because someone saw us going in and called. The only time I've been caught by security was because of a "wrong place, wrong time" scenario.
You're not weird if you're not normal. | |
Well we jiggled all the doors and they shook quite a bit so I'm thinking there was one on the corner of the door. We did pass through a lighted spot. We didn't see any cameras either, unless there where off property. Good learning experience though

There's definitely a motion sensor somewhere in the building. Flores Design on YouTube got in there and triggered it. However, you here the alarm when it's triggered.

Well as long as no further repercussion came of it, I'd say you lucked out. I agree with another poster that it was probably just bad timing.
