Hey there this is my first post tho I've lurked for a while I finally decided to just make an account and jump in to making some new friends since none of mine are willing to trespass.
Anyways I discovered this location while I stopped in Chattanooga to visit a friend before hitting Atlanta for the weekend. I met up with him for breakfast and we ended up walking around Chattanooga's historical district and seeing some dope churches from the 1880's.
After we got some cool shots I drive him back to where he parked and he started looking at some building that had boards on the windows and was talking about how he wondered what it was. I got excited and started walking around it seeing if I could find a POE and lucky i did. When we got in we found out we were in the basement of what seemed to be an old hotel but as we started exploring we found multiple pianos, bibles, a gym/theater, tons of dorm rooms and even a swimming pool. it was really cool.
I'm fairly new to this so this was my first place seeing that actually had lead paint peeling from the walls. I'll post some pictures below.
After I got home from atlanta I started doing some research and it turned out to be a place that I would have never guessed even existed in the 1900s.
Sorry if the quality is bad. These were all taken off a galaxy S8. I didn't snag my DSLR before we went in since we were in the middle of saying goodbye to each other. Sorry that some of them are orientated wrong, i'm not too sure how to fix that.
Holy shit! That's a really good spontaneous location. It sucks that everyone used to only go to Chattanooga for that Playboy house. There's a lot of cool stuff to see there. Next time, you should check out the huge factory on the river. It's super cool!
I will! Chattanooga is a really cool place. I have a couple of places already singled out, just gotta work up the courage to go alone. I don't know why more people don't explore there. There haS been a few cases of explorers dying from floors clasping these past few years so I'm going to try to be careful.
My friend that lives there also has told me that they don't have enough police to cover the city so say if they are checking out an abandonment and a more serious matter comes up they will ditch what they are doing and respond to that call.
Their sculpture park is pretty badass too. I know it doesn't fall under the category of being abandoned but it can give off a pretty desolate vibe sometimes.
Cool spot. Definitely a good find for spur of the moment!
Its the old YMCA pretty easy to get permission
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

I didnt know you could get access to it. I know dudes trying to sell it so I guess it would be easy.
I live in Chattanooga and have heard about this place but have yet to be able to find it. These pictures are great! I love the pool and gym. Thanks for sharing!
