That's a total dick move for the news to do that... I mean it's expected. But now that dude won't be able to leave it for fear of people "exploring" his home. They could of at least not released the location.
On another note that's so freaking cool. Something I dreamed of building since I was a kid
I feel bad for the poor guy. Being homeless is bad enough, but having your house reported on the news which will potentially get you unwanted visitors is another level. They should go to the news reporter's house and make a story on it. Also, I'm sure the guy had no way to find out that there was some random guy digging around in his house, filming it and posting it online, so I can only imagine how he will feel once he finds out.
That sucks for the guy... He's just trying to survive a day to day basis. Now his home is going to get invaded be some stupid drunk kids looking for trouble... That's no way of exposing someone with his own problems... Let the man be I bet his life is hard enough as it is...
"When we see a sign that says "Danger: Do Not Enter", we understand that this is simply a shorthand way of saying "Leaving Protected Zone: Demonstrate Personal Accountability Beyond This Point"."
My thought exactly. That lady saying she's scared about her kids... dude has been there for like a year excavating his home and you didn't even know. I'm going to assume he's not a problem.

Very interesting. Seems that he was minding his own business up until his hideout was discovered. Too bad that the media had to turn this into a big story, but such is the nature of the beast.
This may be the end of the post, but you ain't seen the end of me!

Definitely cool! The vertical staircase reminds me of some found in MSP sandstone. That volcanic rock definitely looks like it would hold up much better over centuries though.

Also stumbled across a video of hot water tunnels near Warsaw, Poland, in which thousands of people live.
Is this the largest group of folks living in underground tunnels in the modern age? Anyone know if/where there are other large communities like this?
