I think I have lurked long enough (but who am I to judge). So here goes my first post. This place has been taunting me on my commute for some time. I think it used to be a hotel that was gutted in 2017, Now it's just the skeleton of a building. Still a fun morning adventure. If anyone recognizes it and remembers what it was I would love to know.

It used to be a Holiday Inn. I saw it before they ripped out the walls and everything inside. Not incredibly exciting.

Thanks, and yeah, there are definitely better places.

Gutted might be an understatement here, that building isn't even skin and bones, it's bones only. Welcome to the site!

That is so strange. Is there an ordinance that says a structure cannot be left vacant with windows?

There is a second building also not that exciting.

yep, and the second building looked like it's now under construction (new walls lights on)...

I think I recognize this one. I think it caught fire a while back and has been a empty husk for years.

I was thinking about going in there, but when I finally made a plan, it had those Tyvek sheets all over the exterior, and it looked for all the world a lot more like a construction site than an abandonment.
