New to this site and see it's hard to get locations esp when new but I will be up in MD, Ellicott, laurel area and curious which of the 2 would be the best check out choice, forest haven or Henryton state OR if someone is feeling generous to letting me know of a better spot.
Thanks

Unless you're into penis graffiti you might want to pass on Forest Haven as well.

I can't say anything about forest haven but just from photos I can tell its changed a lot the past couple years. There is some cool stuff in Virginia that I know of that probably isn't too far.

It's really that bad? Sadly I've heard good things and all the pictures made it look interesting, but i guess people have ruined it. Minus the penis graffiti is it worth it to see?

I'm in VA but the Va beach area and not much on this side besides the historic preservation types things that I know of at least. I'm sure there are things more west like in the Richmond and Lynchburg area which I'm looking for through here, Google and maps. The thrill of the hunt makes it worth it. Was thinking MD because my wife has friends that have gone to those so would be an easy find.

If you've never been it's still worth going.

The easiest bits of Forest Haven are trashed, but there's still cool stuff to see elsewhere. It still has a good risk-to-reward ratio.

For example:
