I moved. Yay. My friends and I arrived, threw tons of boxes in my room, had dinner together, then they left and I went back to my new home. Now I've not been here long (a matter of hours at this point) but all I've seen of the landlady's dog is it's 'elderly disinterested dog' act, so it was quite a surprise to get back, take one step off the sidewalk, onto the lawn, and have the disinterested dog, jump to its feet, lower ears and tail, bare teeth, growl like it wanted to rip my throat out. This would of course also be the time when I realize that the landlady's finally left to take her kid to sheridan college...(which, ironically, is a very short drive from my parents house...) with a round trip time minimum 3 hours. In 20 minutes, my friend expects me back online to 'test' the VPN he's setup for all those of us who moved away to get together virtually. And by test, I mean play WarCraft 3 until my eyes bleed. Luckily, I am a master strategist! I sit in my car for 10 minutes until doggy death goes back to nap mode, then book it around the side of the house, jump/climb/fall over the backyard fence, and enter the back door. Grinning like an idiot... covered in leaves and other miscellaneous crap from the ground. Success! The rest of the night was a pleasant session of WarCraft 3, until my eyes bled, and I decided to call it a night. Fun wow. ... The attentive reader may note that at no point in my day did I *unpack* anything . It's true, I spent between 12 and 18 hours packing, and I'll be damned if I undo all that hard work in a day! So far I've pulled out my comforter (slept on it), my laptop (WC3 goodness) and the 6 books I brought with me. That's it. Maybe some photos of the new place, later. ~ Dagr
