I live in Chicago and I've been fascinated with urban exploration since I was 12. It was the first time I ever heard of the Dixie Square Mall, it was a really cool looking place to explore, but I was too young to explore it as it was demolished in 2012. Instead I always watched videos of the Mall to see what it was like. Within the past year or so I've been getting into exploring places. Many of the places I've found were using Google Maps and Youtube videos. But my list of places his dwindled due to demolition/increased security/renovations of many places and I've been struggling to find new abandoned locations, it also makes it difficult since my only method of getting around Chicago is by bike or CTA. I had a couple hospitals in mind, an old factory in Chicago, and the South Side Masonic Temple which unfortunately has been demolished. Gary is also a plan. So anyways, here's a house in the suburbs that was abandoned, in fact it was two different houses next to each other. Then there's the motel I've checked out, easily the creepiest places I've been in, very small, dark, and filled with junk. And then the final place is a factory in the city. Pretty cool place, still haven't gone into the other building of it but that's a plan. Most of these trips were in December and January.

Seeing the boat painting was probably the coolest thing about the house. It's in the basement which also has a deer carcass at the bottom of the stairs.

That red foil wallpaper looks both awful and amazing.

I would absolutely adore to have my home decor draped in bloody tinfoil.
The homeless are friends not food. |

It's such a tacky wallpaper but it fits so well with the motel. All the walls are a bright pink with mirrors everywhere. You can see at the top of the stairs at the back wall was a mirror but it was smashed

That old place! I just went there recently myself. My aunt lived a little down the road and I used to see it all the time when it was still in operation. It was the bangin hotel that you would bring strippers from the strip club across the street to.

that explains all the sex tapes, mirrors surrounding the entire beds and a 3 hour stay fee.
