Best Wide Angle lens for D3200/ DX series?

Hey y'all-

In 2012 I got a D3200 and loved it, because at the time I did not need to do any serious photography.

Flash forward 6 years (!) later and I now work in the architecture/preservationist world. Every few weeks I'm out in the field and need to photograph old buildings, inside and out.

I'm not a fan of my D3200 anymore, the images aren't that crisp but I am poor as heck and can't afford a new camera anytime soon. I don't have any wide angle lenses and I really need to get one to take better pictures of façades, rooms, etc.

I've looked up several already, such as Nikon's 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED, Tokina 14-20mm f/20 AT-X Pro, Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5mm ...but the photos I've seen are generally landscape images and don't give me a great reference for how well it would work for my needs (and my D3200.)

So my questions to you are: which wide-angle lenses do you use that you really love? Or do you have any advice on what to look out for in specs (seeing how I am a newbie to wide angle lenses). Are there any that do not give much fish-eye/distortion? The flatter the facades and elevations look before/if I need to process the image, the better.

also: the range of locations I go to vary: some have excellent light, but many places do not (especially when I am exploring for fun and it's all very low light!) I need something that can perform well in low light too. Lastly, I am willing to buy a lens used if I have to; but overall I "ideally" do not want to spend more than $799-$850 on a new lens.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out!

The 10-20 nikkor came out this year, this lens has gotten amazing reviews. However, your camera needs to have come out after 2013 or it won't work at all. For wide angle, I usually just use my kit at 18mm. This is about as wide as I need generally.
