How active are my fellow central Texas explorers? I'd love to meet some of y'all! Would anyone be interested?
yup |
|
As for Central Texas, I can think of one other semi-active member. DFW and Houston have a pretty good amount of people that use the site and post actively.

|
I'm in. There's a relatively active group in Dallas Fort Worth, at least 10 of us that explore regularly together. Some are on UER, some not. I'll propose it.

Count me in. I live in east texas and i've only found a couple people near me on this site that live in my area. /:

I'm not a full member but am striving towards it, so I cannot set up an event (to my knowledge) but wouldn't mind organizing a meet up for sometime in the next month or two. Wouldn't be all too official but I'd still love to meet you guys either way. Direct message me if you would be interested. I am a student and work as well but am generally free on the weekends and sometimes during the week so we can work something out.
yup |

Honestly been wanting to plan a texas trip for vacation anyway........ so if yall come up with a date.... you should let me know.
|
|
If y'all come up with a plan I will build the event and schedule it for you, send me a PM with: date time location and who is going to be in charge

Good to know, I'm considering a trek to the NE corner. Google earth searching is trickier cause of all the trees! lol

I've spent a lot of time in the Texarkana area and I've seen some cool stuff over there. Message me whenever you decide to head up there.

Not to be a nuisance, but could you give me an idea of a city/town you'd be heading to? Maybe not even the exact one. I'd like to google map some logistics and see if I could make it from ol' Kansas. Would love to road trip and meet up for some splorin.

If it doesn't involve beer is it even worth talking about?

you don't have to be a full member to set up an event just do everyone a favor and if youre going to set it up at least manage it so people don't waste their time and money showing up for another bogus or forgotten meet-up hint: just set up as a one time event don't set up as recurring each week or each month unless you really plan to be there

Any meet up I have been to that I can recall involved meeting at a restaurant and exploring after, but that’s definitely not a requirement. I think it’s just an easy way to get to know people and do what we all have in common and love to do - explore stuff! One thing you might keep in mind is that if you decide to meet at a bar or someplace similar, you’ll want to pay attention to the age requirements. I’m pretty sure we had a couple people show up that were under the age of 21 at our last North Texas meet-up a few months back. Honestly, it’s super easy to plan a meet-up, just pick a spot, tell people, and go!

The event is up! If someone could direct me how to link a location I would greatly appreciate it.
