I live in the lower mainland. I'm not new to this area by any means but my buddy who I usually explore with moved away but I figure this is an opportunity to meet some new people, meet some other UER members and learn from more experienced explorers than myself. If anyone in the Vancouver/lower mainland (I'm willing to go out a little further) wants to group up or needs needs UE buddies please PM me!!!

I'd love to go sometime in the spring/summer. Winter Break is pretty busy for me and after that it's back to school. Shoot me a message in May and we can make something happen.

Sounds good! Winter isnt the best time in Van for exploring. This was probably the wrong time to post this but I figured I try.

Honestly if I had the right schedule I'd still go in the fall/winter. Yes Vancouver's wet but we get dry days sometimes and those would be perfect for urbex. 1) The cold makes people stay inside so we have the city to ourselves. 2) The sun sets at like 4:30pm so realistically you could go around 9pm and the city'd probably be dead already instead of waiting til 1-3am like in the summer. 3) Winter has an abundance of non-rowdy holidays during which everyone would be out of the city.

I'd love to join you! I myself am not new to this area and occasionally do some exploring. My schedule is pretty free however it is getting colder and I'm not sure if you'd be down for that kind of thing when it's chilly out.

I'm down to show some people a couple cool spots. It's been awhile since I've gone out. The other night at Toads memorial I got that feel again. Literally until the other night I hadn't really done any ue since the budapest train yard summer before last. i personally like exploring in the winter, the sun goes down early, great for cover and low light photography.

I'm guessing by now you've made some contacts. Which state are you in? Let me know if you need any help with contacting people. I'm not on here very often nowadays so maybe shoot me an email drainsdrainsdrains@gmail.com Cheers

Welcome to the forums Saturn, I'm over on Vancouver Island. If you make it over here and need an explorer buddy just let me know! I'm always down to meet new people. I'm usually on the Lower Mainland a couple times a year for shows and brewery tours, but I wouldn't be against exploring in Vancouver once it dries up a bit. Cheers, CMF

If you guys plan something with enough advance time, I might come out too. I've discovered the cheap airline, SWOOP. As much as I love rural Alberta farmhouses.....a change of scenery would be good!
|
|
There are tons of rural farms and homesteads out here as well! Not in the lower mainland but definitely in the Okanagan and the Kootenays! We could always meet half way!
