Recoleta Cemetery - Argentina

Recoleta is a very Noble neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina's Capital. Among all the attractions of this beautiful place, Like Malba and a HUGE metallic flower that opens and close through out the day... There's the Recoleta's Cemitery.

Every single native will advertise the cemetery to you as the resting place of Evita Perón. One of the most iconic characters of Argentina's history. The Populist wife of Juan Domingo Perón. (Do not mention Maddona's rendition of Evita! They find it offensive...). Her remains rest together with her family and apart of her husband. And it is one must stop once inside the cemetery, if you consider history. But by far is one of the least remarkable tombs.

This pictures were taken in 2014 in a trip to Buenos Aires on a very beautiful day! The light helped a lot!

Really like that last shot;
shooting stone is harder than it looks
Excellent 2nd post... we like dead things.
Evita Perón is a story with a very sad ending.
Only 33, a victim of cervical cancer.
Change the "jpg" prefix on the images to "inp" to display the full images rather than thumbnails.

Hello!

Thanks! I really like the last photo as well! The stone smudge looks like tears...

Oh! I was wondering how I could do that! I'll try to change yet in this post. I really liked having found this forum.

Hope to make more nice posts

You're welcome.
That second image is unique.
Never saw a monument like that before at least not in the US. It's the girl by the door that sets it apart.

The amount of detail in the stone is incredible. Something about cemeteries

Thanks for sharing and great photo tips, as always, blackhawk!
