Valley of the Dawn Bridge

Hello everyone,

Very excited to share my first post here. A friend and I went out to the Valley of the Dawn Bridge (Anyone from the area will probably know what this is but as per the guidelines I'll keep the name obscure) for our first time out exploring.

I'm not a photographer but being a graphic designer helps clean up the photography as best I can. It seems like kids play on this bridge as the fence that was intended to keep people off it has been cut and there's chalk drawings scattered around.

The Bridge has been around almost a century now and it's been abandoned for about half of that. A little self indulgence but it always blows my mind to see structures like this. It predates anyone I know who's currently alive, and even then, the workers, (who would've been atleast teenagers) who constructed this are definitely all gone, yet it still stands.

The sealed bridge next to it is used to route gas lines and is locked up tight.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
For the next one I'll be dusting off my DSLR for sure.

I've been lurking for a while and I used to read the infiltration site back in 2005. Hope I can reach the bar this great community has set for content.

I used to bike on the path next to it, I'd always try and find a way in the building just north of it

I think the only entrance to that building (assuming you're referring to the structure right next to it) is on the highway side behind a gate. I peaked around there as well, there might be access under the bridge where they route the pipes. Either way I've been thinking about going back there and sticking my GoPro with a flashlight into one of the smashed windows to see what I see.
