Usufruct is common in places that were once controlled by the Spanish, so the parties involved are likely familiar with the concept.
I have it on good authority that this church has been abandoned for at least 10 years. The tax records say the owner is "Church of God" with no Earthly agent listed.
So they put a generator in the basement and started using the church. It would of all been fine except for the fumes from the generator killed one person and sent 7 to the hospital.
