This is a Juvenile Detention Facility from the early 1900s, closed in the early 90s, it is now apparently owned by the military as part of a Urban Combat Training Facility. Me and my crew have went to this location twice, once at night to be chased off by what I believe to be a coyote. Then the second time during the day, to see a man in full military uniform patrolling the main road around the campus, so we immediately took off and got out as fast as we could. I plan on going back at some point because I have never seen the full campus.1.

The cafeteria is still disgusting as ever I see.

We were actually on the "balcony" area behind the cafeteria, when we saw the guy on patrol. Scared us all pretty good. -Also I know were supposed to keep most of the location details hush-hush, is the information I gave about it acceptable or should I include less/more next time?

You did fine, this is a pretty well known location. Giving history and a general idea of what it was is better than just dropping photos.

This place gets a ton of traffic so it doesn't personally bother me. For people who appreciate places that don't get a ton of traffic who like to photograph before they're vandalized/tagged it could since its easy to search for things like detention centers. Any type of POE or streets or names are a definite no-no.

Yeah, it wasn't widely known until the group of people I explore with went. A bunch of people figured it out or heard it through word of mouth after that. Dammband and I actually have photos of the place without graffiti all over everything.

Picture 1 is actually from a fairly overgrown building to the left just after you enter through the front gate, we didn't even notice it our first time through. From what I could tell it was a loading bay, I was standing at the open bay doors when I took that picture. There are some offices to the side but its just old chairs and ceiling tiles fallen to the ground, nothing too exciting.

This looks like it would have been a cool spot before the word got out. I particularly like #4!

I never saw security there but I'm not surprised if they are there now. There only maybe 2 buildings worth seeing here. The pool/gym building and the living quarters. When security is present it always makes it more exciting. I haven't been here in a few years so I don't know what the risk these days. A camera caught I guy I know there years ago and his caption was printed up and posted all around the area. The graffiti kids ruined this spot. The scrapping happened way before I went here.

You know it's true. Dammband and I went right after you and it seemed like everyone found it after that. Spots always get shared and inevitably ruined.
