Probably a stupid thing to do, as these have a habit of occupying far too much of my time.
Anyway, this past weekend was amazing. Got off work late saturday morning (Damned night shift) picked up Kowalski, and drove until stupid.
Slept at Drie's. Woke up not so stupid. Realized that an 8 hour drive means I'd only have one day of exploring, and called in sick monday. Spent 2 days exploring. Took photos. For the second time ever. Very, very happy. Printed some of said photos at 8x10, and bought frames to give as gifts to coworkers and boss, as this is my last week. Realized photos are expensive... and my 1GB flash card has a memory error somewhere around 120MB... translation - I have the world's most expensive 128MB flash card. Damnit.
Further to Drie's journal entry, there were some very funny moments this weekend.
One was the stuck door.
Another was the powerplant on the river... walking in: "Wow, there's mud everywhere... and open holes in the floor of unknown depth full of water, watch out!" walking out: "There's water everywhere, it must be tidal. I recognize the walls and doorway - this is where we came in *splash*thud*. . . oh yeah, open holes in the floor...full of water... damnit"
Right, it's late, and I'm off to shower and work.
I mostly plan to use this to document what I get up to in Welland, for my friends. And because I'm clumsy enough to know it'll be funny.

ps. I'd feel like an ass to post a 1 image gallery to a location, is there anywhere else convenient to store images? (maybe school webspace soon? we'll see)

Well, we'll see how annoyed I am after I talk to lexar...maybe I'll get a rep who's having a good day, and would love nothing better than to replace my card... Prolly not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.... until they get that over the phon electrocution thingamajig installed, then it could hurt...
