To be fair, there was a rat infestation and an asbestos problem. The ideal would've been a cleanup and restoration into a museum of local history, but I can understand why the city demolished.

I've always procrastinated making a trip out to this spot, have driven past it multiple times on the job but the timing has never been appropriate to stop. I remember seeing a construction crew behind the fencing a few weeks ago. You snooze you lose I guess, I'm glad it was fairly well photographed before its final days.
