I hate "clown puke" as much as anyone, but that doesn't mean HDR effects are universally evil. I'm posting to see if you all think I used it appropriately in this shot. Or whatever advise or tips anyone cares to drop is also appreciated.

The title is a reference to the Walter de le Mare poem by the same name; its a very appropriate poem for visitors to forlorn places.

I think this is good. You used the HDR to bring out the textures and grit. You brought down the saturation on everything but the blue or cyan colors for the couch and glass. Most people would not immediately recognize this as HDR, which means you did well.

I think it came out well; not the normal HDR atrocity we see here all too much I like color... The window view though is blown out; didn't get enough short exposures to grab it.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. | |
The lighting is perfect imo. It's not totally overexposed either.
