">Just curious if anyone in the Southeast area of texas would be interested in a meetup? For those of us that couldnt make it to Fort Worth.. I'm in the Beaumont area and would love to have some people to explore with.. I generally have a crazy work schedule but can make something work if it isn't too far away.. I know there has to be more of us out here!!!

We had a Houston meetup but as I understand it, it fizzled out pretty quickly. I agree that a regional meetup would be great. Weekends are generally best for most folks I think but maybe you can attach a survey to this thread and see what works for people and what kind of interest there may be. I for one generally explore alone but putting a face with some of the people here would be nice!

Yeah I didn't even think to add a poll and now I'm seeing where I can. I would definitely like some input.. See who would be up for it and where a good place to meetup would be.. I've lurked on this site for years but wouldn't mind getting to know some of the fellow explorers.. I don't know many people that are in to scene like I am, it's usually me dragging my boyfriend or kids places..

I'm in Houston and very interested in meeting other Texas explorers. My one really good exploring buddy moved to Denver, and that kind of put a damper on my expeditions.

Sorry it took so long to respond!! I would love to hit some Houston spots but I do not know the area well enough.. I have one out here I was working but some idiots got busted in it today so I'm sure I'll have to put that on hold for a while.. Unfortunately it doesn't look like we have many interested explorers around here. Probably doesn't help that no one knows me, lol

I would love a meet up, if for nothing else to put faces to names.
My weekend schedules are usually more hectic than my during the week schedules. So it is really hard for me to commit to anything.

I'm in DFW and would meet up with y'all. Can do a day trip or single overnight easily but need a few days to arrange accommodations for my pups for more than that.

My weekends are usually crazier than my weekdays as well, I'm a bartender and work nights so I'm not always sure when I'll have a free day.. But maybe Houston would be good meeting place? I'm in the Beaumont area.. I just think it would be nice to meet a few people and maybe get this area a little more active.. I'm open to any ideas for a time and place.. It looks like there's at least a few of us interested..

Well so far it looks like there are 7 of us interested.. Not a huge interest but it's something, lol.. I'm open to suggestions, if anyone has any.. Place, just a meet up, or meetup and explore?? I can make a small'ish road trip if I have enough time to plan it around kids and work.. I just feel like I've lurked long enough, it's time to meet some people.. Most of my people look at me crazy when I tell them I'm in to exploring abandoned places😏😂

I wanted to try and come up with a time and place that is for sure convenient for at least a few of us. I'm thinking September would be good.. And if we do explore anything, hopefully it won't be hotter than hell out!!

When y'all do get this set up, type up a thread in the south forum and ask an admin to stickie it for you. It'll help people find/notice the event, especially if it's a new time/place.
@2X, Speaking of this, I added a recurring monthly event to the system for DFW but it somehow got deleted. I'll send you a PM this evening when I get some internet coverage again.
