My girlfriend and I decided to see if we could find the Mothman and wound up incredibly lost on the way. Luckily the ghost towns we went to were almost as good as finding it. We spent three days camping in a trailer park in the middle of November going down the roads locals told us to go down and see the old towns that don't get the love they deserve these days. So many months later we just have these pictures and the memories to prove it. Hope you like them. 1.

It looks like you have a lot of interesting stories here. If you have any entertaining anecdotes about adventures along the way, I would love to hear those too.

I wish there was more to say. People in WV seemed so delightfully nice, but except for the occasional person who decided they needed to chase us off of some old property, the people would generally smile at our goal and then just say "go this way/that way" or laugh and tell us we're crazy while quickly talking about how there's a town up the road that their family was from but with the coal industry dying out there isn't any reason for them to stay. Also the WV wilderness is just awe inspiring. Truly a wonder of the Union. If anything note worthy really comes to mind I'll be sure to share
