Hey everyone, this is my first post documenting a minor exploration, i'll start out by saying that if you live in the DFW area, you know where this place is, and probably know what it used to be, so i'll keep it vague to preserve the location and to avoid violating rules.

I pass by this place all the time and noticed that the property owners keep a pretty hands off approach to maintenance and security ( there is some cameras ), but they have done a pretty solid job sealing up the place ( welded every door and put it semi-permanent gates in front of the main entrances) but i'd thought i'd give it a quick walk-around just to document it. Despite every entrance being sealed, I was able to get a quick peek inside through a loading bay that was covered by a gate, even though i couldn't get into the building.

So as you can see, they've been pretty thorough, and the interior of the building isn't all that interesting, aside from maybe a few cool photo opportunities. If you happen to be in the area i'd say its worth checking out just for the sheer size of the building, its kind of incredible. Also just a side note, there are multiple cameras on the front of the building facing a vast and very empty parking lot, I was unable to determine if these cameras were functioning, but they looked to be pretty new. There is also one or two cameras on the back of the building, but they have an odd sightline and you'd probably be out of sight if you stayed close to the building.

Thanks for reading!

Edit: re-oriented and re-hosted photos

thanks for sharing your photos. It does look like it was pretty much cleared out inside. Not really worth the trouble to get in.

*you can flip your pictures a lot of ways. How depends on the platform of your computer and if you are using a photo site to share them. It is worth the time to flip them, fwiw. Makes it a lot easier to see the pictures when you don't have to crane your head around 90o. Are you using Windows or iOS? If Windows, it should auto download into photo viewer, there is an arrow that allows you to flip your pic by 90 o increments. Use that. If you are using a photo site like Flickr, same thing. Look for the flip arrow and flip by 90 o increments until it is upright, then save it. If you are using iOS, someone else will have to help you.

Thanks for sharing your explore.

Welcome to the South forum! If you don't have a Flickr account you should set one up. When you post photos you can use the link to show them here and they won't show up flipped. Good find. I don't recall anyone posting this place before but I may be wrong. Keep up the good work and once again welcome!

Thank you for the advice! i'll probably just use imgur from now on, i just used the built in photo uploader and it re oriented the photos even though they were correct on my laptop.

On second thought i'll just use flickr since that seems to be the universal choice around here.

I drove around this place a few weeks ago and within about 10 minutes a squad car showed up and watched us until we left. I'm glad to know at least there's nothing too fantastic inside, so I'm not missing out :p

If this is the location I think it is, I don't live too far from its twin - which is in worse shape IMO.
