Abandoned mansion

Inspired by 6sayytann6 I decided to check out this location. The first attempt I ended up trying to save some dehydrated baby raccoons and then going the wrong way up a hill. Vowing to return the second trip turned into being quite a scramble up a steep hill and some overgrown Victorian garden terraces walls and paths but fully worth the end views.

Fireplace

Balcony

Four Grumpy Ghosts

Skylight

It really irked me that the new owner has pulled out the stained glass windows, torn out the gargoyles and lamps and fixtures and is letting the rain and snow come in on the second floor. This place has only a few years until it starts structural collapse. That skylight is the only part protecting it now and it's so unique and striking.

Sadly a lot is tagged up downstairs. I will have to do up some more after I'm back from Europe. Hope to bring some more neat spots from there too!

Cool site

Bum me out
Than again vandals never sleep, maybe they are better off, but divorced from the original architecture they lose their impact as does the whole structure
That sucks.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Beautiful place!

But what happened with the baby raccoons? Did they make it?

I called animal control and spun by a day later to find them gone. I am guessing the mother came down the hill and grabbed them in the end as animal control wasn't on it yet. I admit I was totally distracted by thinking about their fate!
