I do not fear the system... I fear the people behind the system... At least you guys won't try to tax me.

This is the man behind the system... and he fears the system

Although you are slightly out of the 200 mile obligatory attendance zone, you're still in the Great State of Texas. This means that, while not mandatory per se... it is strongly encouraged that all Texans make the pilgrimage. This also applies to our neighbors in all directions. The Great God of Chat will smile most benevolently on anyone who goes the distance on this July First (yes, He told me so). Oh, yeah. If Lord Chat is not enough to bring you running all the way into the loving arms Fort Worth's jurisdiction, perhaps the Love Shack's killer menu items will help persuade those of you still undecided. Here's a link: (If none of those things do it for you, maybe we can conjure up some interesting places to explore afterwards- above and/or under ground.)

Damn, I love how awesome this sound...but, will regrettably not be in attendance. I will be out of the 200 mile radius that weekend. in fact, i'll be well out of range (in North Florida then) of any and all of you wonderful Lone Star explorers. Count me in for a future meetup, though. I'm totally up for this and would love to meet some of the faces behind the lenses and explore some places i've not been to yet.

Your link isn't working (it says it's not public). I could start an event in the appropriate section but wasn't sure if that was a duty reserved solely for those with the power of administration.

The good new is that this meet-up is supposed to be monthly and recurring, so just because you can't make the initial one doesn't mean that all hope is lost! For what it's worth, I really think that there are enough interested parties to form a solid base of core members in and around the DFW area and possibly even farther. I haven't been around all that long, yet I've seen a sizable number of newer members steadily show up on UER just in the three or so short years I've been a member. Not to mention the decent amount of more seasoned ones in our ranks that are still very active in the community. Seriously, guys, invest in our community now and I think the dividends for our efforts could be huge. We just need cohesion, IMO.

400 miles is a bit of a drive. Maybe if 2Xplorations sweetens the deal by showing us his unknown secret way in to the... super collider tunnel complex.

If you have never attended a meet and greet type event you are missing out on half the fun. I miss the days of the DEA meet up badly. Made some great friends, took some big risks but found big rewards like the secret entrance to the SSC tunnels.

Yo, what's up? It's been a minute, and I need to get back into urbex. I moved to the NoLa area, so it's a bit of a drive, but I'll see about making it.

I am sad to miss this first one. I am out of the 200 mile radius, but i do have friends in Dallas that I could impose upon for a weekend. I just got a new apartment that is finally close to all great things downtown and walkable. I move in on 7/1 I would love to get to know Dallas and Fort Worth. I haven't been in years!

I'm not sure what will be going on with me job-wise, but if things are fine by then I'll definitely be there! I'm always down to explore Fort Worth
