I can't say I was ever much of a believer. But now I'm not so sure. The first building I ever explored was a paper mill a little ways outside of Toronto. Something about the night we chose to venture out there really set the tone for what was to come. There was a thick fog that covered the road, almost knee-high, covering our headlights and making it hard to see where we were going. At the time we thought it was awesome and really gave the neighbourhood a kind of "ghost town" feel. Fearless, we parked the van and hurried over to the building. Despite the overwhelming amount of rubble that we had to traverse in order to enter the mill, we were energetic and all wide-eyed at what lay before us. For anyone that has been there before, I'm sure you are all familiar with the graffiti that covers almost every wall in the main areas. After snapping a few pictures of the actual art among all of the vulgarities, we decided to head deeper into the mill. 1.
It's at that point that we came across corpses of several raccoons, a beheaded bird and some animal's skull. 1.

I hope you'll excuse the quality of some of these images. I absolutely COULD not get my camera to focus. At the time I blamed my low battery and switched to my SUPER high resolution android phone camera.... and tried to snap a picture of a long hallway just past where we found the dead animals and this is how my picture came out. 1.
In the darkness of the mill I cursed my phone for having such an awful camera but once we left and got back into the van, we zoomed in and agreed we could both make out two glowing eyes and a very tall, humanoid shape at the end of the hallway. Like I said, I was never much of a believer, but this experience gave me doubts. What about you guys? Have you ever felt a presence while exploring? Ever caught one on camera?

Either it's a real ghost or just a trick of the light. To believe in the unknown is what drives our curiosity, and the need to prove things is what drives science.

Just about every presence I have felt, ended up being an animal glaring right at me. Just don't pussy out if you think there are ghosts, then you'll find out for sure ;P

Maybe if you enhanced that part of the image, we could see what you mean. I just see a hallway with condensation and other easily explained abnormalities. It is natural human behaviour to fear the dark. It's also natural to try to make shapes out of things, which is why we can see animals in the clouds and eyes in the dark. Anyway, why would a ghost need to kill animals?

I can't say that I believe in ghosts but I'm open to the idea of them. In this case I would have to see one in person to believe it, but I've never sensed anything out of the ordinary on any of the places I've explored, so who knows? I do see the figure you are referring to in the picture though, so I suppose it's not impossible.

Sploring at night is a good way to end up becoming a ghost... hellholes are real. Night/low light was a contributing factor in the deaths of more than one of UER's members.

Absolutely, ghosts/spirits do exist. However I'm not sure that you saw one that night. It's kind've like the first time you got fried, once it hits you, you don't need to ask your friends if you're high or not. If you really came across a ghost, you'd feel an unmistakable 'cold' creep in out of nowhere.

Probably not the best idea to make a claim such as ghosts existing and then make an analogy to drug use lol Kinda ruins the credibility of the first claim... Don't worry, I'm just kidding, if you ask me, the very homes and abandoned places we explore are the true ghosts of their kind.

Night time UE is awesome.
They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! |

If you came across a ghost, or were exposed to low-frequency vibrations or sounds, you'd feel an unmistakable 'cold' creep in out of nowhere.

There was a group of people in the tunnels at Pennhurst that ran into a ghost. A Class 1, full roaming vapor; a real nasty one. It's was terrifying. I still get a grin thinking about it

Whenever somebody asks me I usually answer "not yet, but if I'm going to find them anywhere, these are the places they would be".
