The Brock Street Tunnel (or Tunnel Beaudry) was built in 1895 in order to connect the harbour to the city, which made it easier to bring merchandise into the city. It was closed in 1960. It is totally abandoned now, but it was used as a set for the 2004 film Le dernier tunnel, about a con artist who attempts to rob a bank. Today the tunnel is closed and blocked off, but a good 215 m of it remains and is easily accessible.
On June 3rd 2017, my urbex partner Colleen and I visited the tunnel at around 9:30 pm. Our main concern was squatters, but the tunnel was completely empty. As it was nighttime, the tunnel was exceptionally creepy, as it was impossible to see just how far the tunnel went. The darkness seemed endless, and there was no way of knowing what we might find.
The tunnel is made of brick and stone, and it is covered in graffiti. Highlights include fish motifs, communist graffiti, and ominous phrases. The tunnel is easily accessible but very close to a main road, so we used flashlights covered by green fabric to mute the light and make our presence less obvious, which also contributed to the eerie atmosphere.
Most of the pictures I took were of the graffiti, but we also found tiny inukshuk-like statues made of loose rocks and what sort of look like shrines or altars. Overall, super creepy, but it's an exciting tiny expedition that gets your adrenaline pumping.

Cool!1 how long is the tunnel if it wasnt blocked off? any way of finding an entrance do you think?

The photos are a bit blurry and hard to make out...it would be better to take pictures with a better camera.
Other than that, very good.

That's a really good question! I don't know if there are more entrances, but it would definitely be cool to track them down.

Sorry about that. I don't have a good camera at all, only my cell phone, so it's expected that the images won't be top quality. I still like having the pictures from a documentation perspective, even if they aren't works of art.

i might be a bit late but you can still get in today.
technically you just need to climb the gate. just bring a flash light
and be careful because deeper in the tunnel it becomes ice.

well that's if you're skinny. i tried but i just got stuck between the brick and the gate.
