Hey community. Yesterday I climbed a crane and here is my story.
It was my first crane climbing ever. I didn't know what to expected or how do I will react, fear, panic... Really not the highest crane I climb (this buulding is 10 level of high I think). There is plenty higher crane and it will be my next objective. The inspiration comes from "Shanghai Tower (650 meters)" and James Kingston youtube video. I'm not a fan of high attitude, but because of the adrenaline. If I make it, I will be so proud, but if I didn't do it, I will be shameful and disappointed... Yeah... that how my mind works and it gave me courage. And now I have done it, I can make it higher next time.
It took my like 20minutes and finally at the top.
Yeah, my hands are pretty messed up.
At the top, a small photoshoot with myself. Here is a before/after picture I edit with Photoshop. Took me a while too.

I'm pretty novice to a climbing crane. If you have any tips, please advise me. It was disagreeable and indiscreet with my Nikon D3400.

I'm going to repeat what Blackhawk said for emphasis- wear climbing gloves. Sometimes, oil or grease gets on the ladder rungs, making them slippery. Tight fitting work or climbing gloves help with that.
On a separate note, I really like whatever you did to produce the purplish sky. It looks quite good.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

Metal burrs or a frayed strand of wire rope; climbing is harder with open lacerations and bloody hands

Is Montreal so lax that you can just daylight a crane there? Sheesh.
I've had to use a, umm, disguise to get to some spots of the same caliber at 4 a.m.

I'm pretty sure is my lucky day. A lot of people saw me, but didn't really pay attention (this why I love mtl 😂) And there was popo, just hoping they didn't look up.

Yeah, this is my thought same as you at the start. I watched videos of people doing crazy shit in the crane, I feel they're immature, dangerous and dumb. I didn't like high, always fear of heights. But I learn to enjoy this sort of fear. It gave me courage and pride, to be self-confident. And I learn a lot from it. You don't judge a thing till you know what's inside it.

I hate climbing cranes too, but I climbed a badass one last week (shorter than the one you climbed) and I'm hoping to go up again tomorrow.
Before I start in on your photos, don't worship the dudes who climbed that tower in Shanghai. The best explorer of their group was waiting down on the ground. The two dudes who do those videos get major sponsorship money to climb the tallest buildings in countries. It's kind of bullshit. If you had to do it that way, you'd probably not enjoy it, although the lifestyle would be lavish.
So since this is Photo Critiques:
Your first two pictures are fine, though I'm unused to seeing blue cranes. Both those shots would look better with a person posed in it.
The three pictures that seem to show your back, what are you trying to say with them? You could probably pull off the same effect on a nearby rooftop. If you're on top of a crane, you need to get pictures that show you're on top of a crane. It's not the right place to get just nice landscape photos (though you certainly can from up there).
