This infirmary used to be part of a state school and it was recently demolished (following the trend of previous buildings on the campus). I decided to post a few photos that I had saved somewhere from when it used to be arguably the coolest place at that state school to check out at the time it was demolished. 1. The Roof
2. Lookout Hole
3. Green Room
4. "Body Gear"

Is this at the Belch?

Ugh I miss this place! This is hands down my favorite place to go exploring and was so sad to hear about it when they were tearing it down!

Fortunately there's still a few interesting buildings left, but the increasing cop presence and dwindling amount of stuff to see makes this place less and less appealing to check out as time goes on. At this point I'd only go back to show someone who really wants to go, but otherwise I've seen everything the campus has to offer so it's not worth it anymore to risk going back. It really is sad, and soon enough everything else will be gone too. What a shame

Yup, everything is totally boarded up though, except for one building I was able to get into because I fortunately (or unfortunately) went with someone questionable who I just met who opened it up for me through uh, non conventional means of access, but at least I'm able to go in whenever I want now. It's only that one building though

I haven't been since last November when I read an article about increased police presence and last time I went my friend and I saw a cop drive right by the building we were in so we opted that it was best not to go back anymore. I've been plenty of times though and have seen inside a majority of the buildings, plus I took a ton of pictures. The infirmary was the one building we hadn't managed to make it to yet. I remember last year when they tore down the old auditorium too its so sad seeing how fast they are at taking this place down It's the first real abandoned place I had ever gone to so seeing it being torn down and I want to go one more time but its quite a drive for me and with the possible police presence its almost not worth it anymore.

I've been wanting to go check that one out, anyone know what the current situation is like over there? Mind you I'm speaking of the one that recently closed down about 2 years ago a few cities over from this OP site.

Was the cop driving around in the day or at night?

Just gonna bump this thread real quick and say that I visited the school two days ago, construction crews went home at 5pm, nobody said a word to us and we had no issues getting into the larger buildings. Loading dock entrance of the 4 story with roof access is wide open.

Belchertown by From Milan To Minsk, on Flickr Used to love this place
Before a big explore I like to work with leather. The Native Americans always said that working with hides and pelts releases the soul. |

How far along is the demolition? Is it worth going if you've already been out there a few times (but not in the past year)?
