I guess I got to the party a wee bit late....they did a pretty intensive site clean up. Only 3 things left on site to check out. The office was less then exciting. anyway it was a new to me place and helped me kill two hours of my day. 1.

The conveyor belt is cool. Bonus points for climbing catwalk of questionable integrity Old industrial infrastructure is interesting; still a lot machinery left.
They made cedar chips there?
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

The catwalk going up is sturdy, not much rust... the Pattullo bridge is worst for wear. It is the walkway bellow the conveyor that is sketchy. I have no idea what type of cedar products they made. I do know it caught fire in December 2013 and again in October 2014, that second fire destroyed half of the main building... I am assuming they never reopened afterward.

All catwalks are questionable... especially when you're on them

With my line of work, when it comes to steel structures. I have a pretty damn good idea of what is safe and what isn't. That said, if you do not know what to look for. It is best to assume that the structure might not be safe.

I agree with you. I've walked on the edges of the grating before because of corrosion at Beth. It's anchor bolts that go into concrete especially that you have to watch. I always enjoy seeing the high shots here, good fun... Thank you for sharing these
