This was delightfully nerdy.

LOL I did not have that impression when I was there in 2017. I was also still a heavy smoker though, so idk maybe I'd think otherwise now. Either way, it used to be a water treatment plant. From what I read it was a pullery or slaughterhouse or something before that, which left a bunch of dead sheep behind. The stench then was infamous and it took a lot of work getting rid of the corpses - the treatment plant was part of the deal. So ummm at least the stench is less pervasive throughout the town now?
Also, local lore explains the shells (I found a lot of used targets when I was there, and police tape) as the result of cops using the big building for practice. Fun place though, lots of nice paint.

All that sitting water probably brings in all sorts of bugs and shitty smells. It's unfortunate that people have no choice but to live there.

Love the chair under the light from the hole in the roof. Seems to really be a popular thing for urban explorers to set up and photograph.

Whole bunch of heavy equipment on site last week. A little bummed I didn't get to go, but not really.
