Slowly demolishing filament plant
< on 1/10/2017 1:02 AM >

Several years ago a massive factory compound making mysterious filaments was evacuated of all of its workers. Some time later the site was attacked by quadrumanous heteronomic machinery which failed to destroy the entire complex. What remained is documented below.

Hit this with DJ Craig et al too long ago.

Great shots! For all that's destroyed, it looks like there's still a lot left too. Those concrete tunnels (#12075, 12027, and 12277) would be amazing to glide a raft through if they were flooded.

Cool site, too bad it's partially demoed.
What was made there?

Every part of a lightbulb except the filament!

It was a huge complex so I think there were multiple separate operations and companies there. But at least what we saw was something to do with rayon fiber.

Nice set! I've been here a few times, but only after the power plant was demolished. It took me a few minutes to recognize the location, but that's a distinctive smokestack.

Coincidentally, DJ Craig is in this photo, as well as Axle.

There was one in Chester that is/was still standing and has/had found reuse to some extent as offices.
These are cool.
