Hi all! Just thought I would introduce myself! I am from Upstate NY, Canandaigua area! I am a newbie in urban exploring. Always been a fan and always been interested in the photography and the thrill. I have visited a few places and am hooked! Looking forward to interacting with you awesome people and sharing my images and experiences!

Welcome! There's a couple places in Canandaigua I've been looking at but just been to lazy to get down there...and it's not even a far drive! Let me know if you ever want to meet up. I've been less active this year but still have an eye on things in the area. Looking forward to some of your photos.

just an FYI for you western New York people... points west of Utica are not upstate. That's 'western New York'.
Upstate is the Hudson Valley and Albany.
Points north of Saratoga is considered Northern New York.
I live in northern New York... Essex County to be exact, a wee little place called Mineville.

This is 100% correct. But using the term "upstate NY" to describe anything that is not NYC and the surrounding areas has become so prevalent I have given up on correcting people for the most part.

The One thing that I hate about googling WNY is Buffalo always comes up :/ Plus I would consider yourself a Figure lakes region guy. I will give you a few link for some insight.
