While the 30-meter-high silo tower was built in 1917, the history of this place as a mill site dates back to the 18th century. In old records you can find that there were powder mills at this location in 1770. Later it became a corn mill with the purpose to feed the local garrison. During World War Two parts of the mill were alienated to produce lubricants (for armament requirement). Now this place is abandoned since 1990. Floods and fire in the last few years have caused a lot of damage. As you can see decay is pretty advanced at this site. It’s kinda outlying too. Let’s see what happens to this place in the future.
