Has anyone done any exploring in the Haymarket-Warrenton-Gainesville area? I know there's a few empty buildings in Warrenton and literally half of Haymarket is abandoned and/or deteriorating, but I have yet to find anything about the town online.

aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Is "urbex historian" a legitimate profession?

Haven't really been through that area much, but also haven't heard of much there.

I know what ISN'T abandoned in Warrenton...
Have scouted around but there seems to be little of interest.
Better to drive 2 hours West and dip into coal country.

There was an old farmhouse by the GMU campus, but it was torn down when the performing arts center was built.
Friend of mine took me to some abandoned houses but that was a few years ago, not sure if they're still there.
Vint hill would have been cool to explore, before they turned it into houses. I still remember was the base was active.
Pretty much all of the places I know of are now houses.
