In 1936 these barracks were built as an accommodation for the German Wehrmacht. Among others they were the garrison for an artillery unit. After World War Two the Soviets deployed their troops to this site. Today this area is transforming to a playground for adults on a regular basis. A paintball team is leasing this old army camp to shoot, have fun and stuff. That’s why you can find paintballs, used smoke grenades, obstacles, signs and so on here. So it’s only partially abandoned.
