Special Delivery

Last week Sheavy mentioned that he was coming to Texas and was looking to hook up with other explorers. I was fortunate enough that he and I were able to connect (or he was unfortunate enough that he get stuck with me!). After realizing that Texas is one BIG ASS place and most good locations required a lot of drive time between them we settled on a place that had some great locations that neither of us had been to. The first of these was an old post office that was truly awe inspiring.

Here are a few from that location. Much more and better quality here:

I had been meaning to visit this place for years and just never got around to it. I'm grateful that Sheavy gave me the kick in the ass I needed to finally get around to it. 99% of my explores are solo but I really enjoyed hanging out with him. Very experienced and knows his shit in addition to just being a great guy. Special thanks for putting up with me for almost 12 hours!

Yeah that traffic jam sucked, but it was great to get out and go exploring with you and your son. Loving your shots of the service run door mate. We'll have to do it again sometime, I already want to check out some more stuff in Texas .

Also a big shoutout to Astro, IndoAnomaly, and MisUnderstood! for tips and advice. Thanks gals and guy.

I could spend hours upon hours just shooting the lobby and the second story of this magnificent building.

My love/hate relationship with exploring our fine state is because of it's sheer number of awesome places, and it's sheer number of miles between them. SO many great places, so far away from me...

That post office *is* rather amazing. great shots all around!

Gorgeous photo from both of you, that place must have been beautiful in its heyday.

Not that it isn't beautiful now, of course!

Amazing photos. I am always overwhelmed the sheer vastness of Texas. However i do appreciate that many of the rural roads seem to intersect each other, so it makes it harder to get lost
