I was pecking around Google Earth a few minutes ago and noticed this:
If you want to see something weird on Google earth, type in these coordinates:
29°47'41.64"N 95°40'9.51"W
Mine default's to a date of 3/4/2016 and clearly shows a large aircraft in a swamp near a heavily populated area. Now, move the time bar forward or backward and it's gone!

haha no ghost it just happened to be flying by
look at the size of that plane compared to the trees on the ground its several thousand feet above the earth
you can find these all over Googles images, captured in time

I am thinking that the plane was in fact destroyed by protons that were shot out of the Texas Supercollider.
It's never really been abandoned. Flooded, yeah suuuure.
Now, where is my foil hat...
