Hey folks,
This is my first post. Here are some pictures from one of my favorite local spots.
They were taken with a Galaxy s4, so the quality is not as great. I hope to be getting an actual camera soon.
Cheers!

I know it's pretty heavily trafficked now, but are there still quite a few homeless living in there?

Welcome to the site!

I've had to run around with a friend's old cracked S3 at one point, so a good camera is lovely to have. That said, the Galaxy phones don't have half-bad cameras for what they are.

Did this place used to be a factory of some sort? Looks like it's a big place.

On this trip, did not walk up to the top floor of the main building because a man was sprawled across the top of the staircase. I assume he was passed out drunk, but did not stick around to find out.
It is not surprising, as the building is "hidden in plain site" and next to a busy road so it gets a decent amount of traffic.
The factory was a paper mill at one point, and I believe the property was bought out by Southern States who have a building (also vacant) in the same area.

Lol, he was on the yellow staircase heading up to the top floor? Had to be comfy.....

If i remember correctly, there were huge piles of clothes up on the top floor (but may be thinking of another place). There were definitely more than 1 or 2 staying there.

Yeh, it's been pretty popular for people to do model shoots there as well.

There's at least one homeless guy that's lived there for a while but he doesn't bother you if you leave him alone. I was there a few weeks ago and they had fixed both of the holes in the fence but it's still easy to get over.

Trashcore - Welcome to UER! Have you explored any other places in RVA?
