This is a fairly well known spot that a few of you have likely stopped at. I don't see it in the DB but I have a feeling it's probably visible to Full Members. I know that at least Forgotten BC is aware of it. Just barely caught it out of the corner of my eye on the way to Merritt to visit my father earlier this month. When I arrived in Merritt I showed the pictures to my father and uncle and their eyes immediately widened. Turns out a very good friend of my family lived in a couple of those cabins while working on the Hope-Princeton highway in the late 70s or early 80s. I haven't yet shown the pictures to him but I imagine it'll be quite a trip for him, I'm hoping he'll be able to share a story or two about his time there. They were built as staff housing for construction workers and service workers along Highway 3, occupied by many different people until they were abandoned, likely in the 90s. I've read that the vandalism is fairly recent and that they were pretty much left alone and frozen in time for decades, the most recent document I could find inside was a wall calendar for the year 1994. 1.
