Found a brief report of this spot in the archive from 10 years ago, a lot has changed since, I was also able to grab some shots inside of the mine after a second visit with my trusty gum boots.

The mountain has been held or optioned by various operators since the early 1970s. In 2012 the 187 Level Portal was completely rebuilt and extensive vandalism to the core storage building was repaired. Since then various operators have used the site intermittently for evaluation/research only, no active mining.

The main tunnel is flooded with knee high water and extends 75 – 100 ft into the mountain, I have not explored the upper levels. This mine is home to many frogs and insects.
