I've been casually photographing abandoned exteriors for a couple of years now. This is my first venture inside of one. Still uncertain about which details are ok to share and which not so I'll just let the images speak for themselves. These are the ones that are perhaps less obvious than others I took. Place has a cool history though...or maybe I just love history in general. All of these were shot with my phone as I wasn't exactly planning on exploring. 1. Well I'm not going that way...
2. Beware the guardians
3. Showers?
4. Plumbing
5. I love that the walkway was placed under the door frame.
6. Neat and tidy
7. Disassembled or destroyed by fire?

NICE shots! Any idea what this place use to be? Interesting tile floors.

Nice set! I noticed you entitled this, "Destined to become a park." Do you mean this literally? I guess I could see that, although I don't personally know this location, it's obviously in a very advanced stage of decay and I could see some developer coming in and creating some sort of public recreational area - depending on its surroundings of course. Anyways, that part of your title just caught my attention. I love the overgrowth, that's always a favorite feature for me, usually for its inherent photogenic properties.

Thanks all! MisUnderstood, it used to be a fancy bath house and hotel from the late 1800s. It saw a couple of fires and just fell into disrepair. Dee, you aren't far off. At first I thought they were just going to level it and make a city park (which would break my heart), but it looks like there may be some sort of restoration planned for the place, turning into something to generate new revenue. From what I've read I'm imagining something like what they do with old missions happening here.

Ah. I've never been here, but I think I know where this is now. This was on my "to-do" list last February, but there were simply too many "to-do's" and not enough hours to do them all in.

That creator doesn't log in often I can email him if he minds making it public viewable sounds (and looks) like its gone downhill since he shot it 12yrs ago.

My suspicions have been confirmed! Thank you, 2X. Yes, this one caught my eye, but there were other carrots being dangled, and next thing you know, we were out of time...

Wonderful photos! I am impressed at how much is still left of those old tile floors.
