Sullivan County

Took a trip up to Sullivan County this weekend and stopped by some well known spots. I plan on going up again soon, found out how cheap/easy it is to stay up there so I didn't pressure myself on checking out everything possible. More to come eventually. I rented a 35mm prime lens to try out, interesting having to walk around and hunch over in order to frame my shots the way I wanted, but I liked the way the images looked so buying one seems tempting in the near future. Enjoy the set and feedback is appreciated

#15, the house looks like it's melting. Love the hallway shots.

Good shit. Even though the resorts are mostly trashed, there are tons of cool abandoned things in the area. I've only been up that way twice for exploring and visited roughly a dozen different things in those trips.

Awesome set of pics, looks like you got your money's worth out of that lens rental.

#8 is awesome as myself and countless others have taken that picture from the other side of that walkway, never saw it from that vantage point before. Never saw #15 before...great find!

Geez, this place has gone completely down the drain. I was there right after the town condemned it 2009 and even though it was run down, it wasn't trashed.

It's worse in the main dining room/lobby. Carpets the only thing covering holes in the floors in some areas, one building behind the main one has taken so much water over the years it just kind of... sunk? It's still standing but looking inside everything looks like its melting about 3 lower than it should be.

The Savoy building ironically was the most recently constructed, but its flat roof and matchstick construction proved to be no match for the elements.
