Yah, but I bet their IG fan club just totally grew and the followers know they're the baddest of all time and they know those guys. It took balls and some IDGAF! What they needed was the cooperation of a simultaneous sideshow and some dirtbikes. But yah, staying at jail makes you more of a BadAss! Supposed to be fun, right?

It appears at the very least you'll get an irate judge screaming at you and 90 hours of community service if you're a tourist from a foreign country. In Russia everyone climb to top of bridge to sight see... you see.

I don't recognize them, but wow. They're 18 and 23? Looks like climbing the bridge adds ten years. Dudes look over 30 :-)

There have been a couple of cute instagram accounts which have boasted getting to the top of western span of the bay bridge as well.
This is "urbex," but there are still reasonable limits to what is ok vs batshit stupid.

I could be wrong, but I thought I had seen him on the active span as well. Maybe he deleted the photos?
On that note, do people sometimes prosecute for photo evidence? I see so many people on cranes, bridges, etc. Why don't they get fined the same as these two bridge climbers?

Photos on or pics of an active span may very well get the shooter an interview with the FBI.
I can tell you from experience it's pretty unnerving having two agents show up on your doorstep unannounced. They are polite, highly trained, professional, and empowered to enforce local, state and federal laws.

I biked across it the other day and saw how easy it would be to both do it as well as get caught. Suppose they either didn't care or thinking no one would see them. Should of worn a hard hat and vest guys come on.

3:00 pm!! Why the hell would you climb a bridge in broad daylight? Especially when there are tons of good Samaritans about just waiting to call the police because someone is climbing the bridge, I think they are going to commit suicide.
