A Flight and a Crash

Instability and uncertainty regarding things I once thought definite have left me scrambling for distractions lately. I've been getting out a lot, starting to write for my blog again, and making plans to ensure continued good times with the people that I always have fun with. Here are a number of the places that have kept me occupied in the last few months.

Terrific set! Especially the last picture depicting the psychiatric hospital library.

Most of the sites appear to be completely untouched too. Always refreshing to see places spared from the vexations of vandals.

Good to see woody's theater is still there, I used to drive past that a lot and was always curious about it. Nice shots and locations, looks like you're really keeping busy!

Bonus points on the Hot Water Music reference. I was into them big time in my college days and eventually saw them play at Lupo's/ the Roxy in Providence. I could play several of their songs on guitar.

They cleared the auditorium out a few years back, other than that nothing has happened with it. It's a very cool building, hopefully they can save the shell.

Lol well actually, with the exception of the Cemetary, these were all shot using a Canon Rebel T5i. Though I will admit my phone takes better photos for me than I do with the DSLR. Only reason I use it is for the wide angle, honestly.

I first heard the song "Remedy" on the Tony Hawk Underground soundtrack a long time ago. It wasn't until they started popping up on different Pandora stations that I realized what a decent catalogue of great songs they have. Jason Black has become one of my favorite punk bass players, right behind Matt Riddle of Face to Face.

Their stuff from the 2000's got pretty generic (with a few exceptions) but their late 1990's albums have a lot of character. That's the true HWM sound!

Great photos. I've always wondered what the inside of Woody's Theater looks like. So much of that town looks sad and run down.
