Requiem For Whippoorwill (AKA Byrum Drive)

In what is becoming a theme for the past week, yet another urbex turned into rurex.

Whippoorwill Drive's neighborhood (Listed as "Byrum Dr Neighbourhood" on the LDB ), located in some woods near Charlotte-Douglas, is being flattened and thoroughly boredomized.

If you're into House of Leaves, the twisting trails going nowhere, and the random bamboo forest, may be of interest (probably not).

As for the houses, rest in peace. Here be proof.

Sorry to disappoint, again.

That said, it may be worth a trip in the winter. Who knows what you might find once all the shrubbery's cleared? Trees maybe?

Imagine: that used to be somebody's drive-way. Lucky. While it lasted, anyway.
